Japanther + Roman Gabriel Todd's ... + Jurassic Park 4 (musical)

Description: Brooklyn duo Japanther is an experiment gone horribly right. With their infectious bass-heavy grooves, liberal use of crappy keyboards, dilapidated drum machines, phone microphones and sarcastic samples, coupled with the group’s relentless work ethic, Japanther has parlayed their very first gig – a 7 minute opening set for Pink and Brown and Lightning Bolt in 2001 – into a cult following. Relentless touring has found the band playing in warehouses, bedrooms, bathrooms, and as part of last year’s Whitney Biennial in collaboration with Dan Graham’s Don’t Trust Anyone Over Thirty performance/installation.

From the watery grave of Supreme Dispassion comes Roman Gabriel Todd's Beast Rising Up Out of the Sea - stripped down to bassguitar, drums and vocals, the wretched rock-n-roll blasphemy profanity has matured into disciplined sexual deviance involving all walks of the supernatural and variations thereof. Jurassic Park 4 is an impromptu musical, which we believe will have something to do with dinosaurs, and may involve puppets.
